Darters all share the experience of breaking shafts & flights, then searching for more durable versions that still look good and perform well. One recent entry in the flight & shaft market is the Clic system from Harrows Darts.
This system uses a molded plastic flight that snaps over the top of a polycarbonate plastic shaft. As normally configured, the flight will spin freely on the shaft. That allows darts to be placed closer together, especially important for competitive players aiming for Ton-80s or Bulls.
If the spinning feature is not desired, a small O-ring can be placed over the shaft before snapping the flight in-place. The O-ring prevents free-spinning, although it will generally allow the flight to move if struck directly by another dart.
The Harrows Clic system comes in 9 colors of flights and shafts, which can be used mix & match fashion. Red, White, Blue, Light Blue, Black, Smoke, Orange, Pink, and Green.
Three lengths of tapered shafts are currently available: Short, Midi, and Medium.
At this time, only Standard Shape flights are available, although other shapes are said to be in the works.
